Today Rare Brain Studios announced that Lance's Brewery Tour will begin filming this Thursday in Cleveland at Great Lakes Brewing Company. Great Lakes Brewing Company, the first official destination for Lance's Brewery Tour, will donate $1 of every pint sold all day Thursday to help further Lance's dream and support his cause.
Over the past two months, Lance's Brewery Tour has become a phenomenon in the American brewing industry. The project will follow Lance on a 3,000 mile road trip as he visits America’s best breweries, meets the beer world’s most influential people and fulfills his lifelong dream to write a book about the history and culture of American Beer. The documentary chronicles Lance’s awe-inspiring journey as he faces his social fears and phobias and spends nearly three month away from home to collect the photos, experiences and information he needs to write his book. When the documentary is complete Lance will finally hold a published copy of Lance’s Brewery Tour, a dream that has been 40 years in the making.
"Capturing Lance’s story is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," stated Rare Brain Studios President, Aaron Rice. "His dream is already changing the world and his journey hasn’t even begun.”
Lance’s Brewery Tour is being brought to life by support from breweries, the beer and autism communities and the public. Lance has received invitations from breweries in all 50 states as well as many international breweries and is the toast of the beer world. He has also been invited to speak to students with autism at the Temple Grandin School and meet many others touched by autism throughout his journey. From the heart of Northeast Ohio an unlikely hero has emerged and his message of hope is already inspiring the world.
