Nothing goes better with summer weather than an outdoor party. The second annual Atwater Village Beer, Wine and Food festival was the perfect way to get started this year. Set up in the parking lot of 55 Degree Wine bar and Link N Hops, festival-goers had the opportunity to enjoy some of LA’s finest craft beer. LA Ale Works, Golden Road, El Segundo Brewing and The Dudes each offered 2 brews in their booths. Other popular SoCal breweries included Firestone Walker, Hangar 24, Figueroa Mountain and Twisted Manzanita. The only out-of-state brewery was serving my favorite beer of the festival, Coconut Curry Hefeweizen from New Belgium.
Also available inside the festival were delicious ceviche tostadas from Radio Ceviche, a diverse wine bar, and music courtesy of talented DJs. Link N Hops was also open for business as usual to festival guests. Wreck Check also had a booth for the second year. They offered breathalyzer tests as well as an add-on tester for your phone (for purchase) to make sure you are enjoying responsibly.
LA’s beer scene is still growing rapidly and the Atwater festival is a great example. This is one I’ll look forward to every year.
