It was a perfectly sunny day in Riverside for the 23rd Annual Air Show at the Riverside Airport, and one of the best views was from across the street, at Packinghouse Brewing Company. And in late March, watching airplanes doing loops and barrel rolls was a perfect compliment to the timely spring day.
Viewing areas were claimed and pop-up tents were pitched in anticipation for a good spot by which to view the air show. Within this designated “crash zone,” parachuters and airplanes doing various tricks were best viewed with a Double Dry Hopped Heritage Pale Ale or a Riley’s Irish Red. Big Easy Sandwiches, Sonora Grill, and California Grill Truck were all on hand for dishing up tasty food options.
This is a great annual event for the whole family, complete with beer, food, live music, an airshow, a kids’ zone, and arm wrestling. Yeah, that’s right, arm wrestling, and on a stage no less. And even after the air show ends, there are still more great brews to be had, inside, at Packinghouse Brewery. I’m hoping there will be a Brew with a View next year, so I may bring the whole family.
