Last month I had the pleasure of being a guest on The Beer Snobs podcast. They even devoted an entire segment to home brew, and told me to navigate the waters. So this first week I shared with you one of my latest beers, a Chocolate Robust Porter, some snacks, brewing horror stories, and more.
In this week's episode I shared a rich, robust porter along with the spent grains I used in the brewing process. Within minutes Bernard was tossing small handfuls in his mouth. Not the normal reaction, but I loved it. We use the spent grains to make snack bars using all natural ingredients, so eating the grains is no big deal.
In these home brew segments, I'll be covering various aspects of the home brew process. I've been brewing at home for over 18 months. And as of this airing, I've completed 23 batches of beer, all various styles. It's not as hard as some people think, and actually, I compare it to baking cookies. So if you can bake cookies, you can probably make a drinkable beer.
