This isn't a brewery.

I've been hearing about Chino Hills Brewing Company for some time, mainly that it isn't a brewery. Which is correct. I checked their license with Alcohol Beverage Control for California. Their Type 47 license allows them to sell alcohol similar to a restaurant. That's because their just a restaurant.

They offered an IPA, Golden Ale, Blonde, and Franziskaner all on tap. I spoke with the owner who told me that someone in Orange County and someone "north" of Chino Hills makes their beers. As a home brewing enthusiast, CHBC provides the recipes and their beers are contract brewed by, I'm assuming, other licensed brewers.

The food was good, the atmosphere was nice, and the assortment of TVs kept us busy. As far as the craft beer goes, they only had a few; Pomona Queen, Far Out IPA, Rocco Red, Racer 5 IPA. The main taps were Golden Road, Goose Island, Elision, 10 Barrel varieties.

After speaking with the owner, it was clear he didn't really care about craft beer, the community, or building a brewery. His bait and switch technique is simple to lure people in the doors.
