L.A. Zoo’s newest quick service restaurant serving gourmet salads, burgers and sandwiches with an upscale feel and ample outdoor seating next to our newly remodeled gift shops and our famous North American alligator, Reggie.
Reggie's is a gem! When you go to a place like the zoo you expect to overpay for over-processed food with the possibility of being able to get a $9 Bud light because they sponsor the location, not Reggie's! It's right at the entrance of the zoo so you might walk right past it assuming you can get the same same stuff further in the park. You can't.
I like to stop in right when they open, get a coffee (free refills all day), and see what the tap options are for when I go back at lunch. My last trip to the zoo had Stone smoked porter, Stone IPA, Eagle Rock populist IPA, Eagle Rock revolution XPA, Gold Road Hefe and Blue Moon. They also have a few wines if that's what you're feeling. Sometimes I grab a beer or two to start my day off at the zoo right!
They have a couple burgers, sandwiches and salads which are all pretty damn good, and not just for being in the zoo. The rest of the property is filled with over-processed below average food with the usual theme park beer. If you find yourself at the LA zoo, don't waste your time looking around for somewhere to eat and drink, just go to Reggie's.
